Welcome Mothers!
My goal with every motherhood and family session is to capture all the real moments that can easily be forgotten. The laughs, the smiles, the perfect moments that happen in a split second and interactions between families and loved ones are timeless heirlooms that I’m here to capture and share with you.
Motherhood sessions include maternity sessions, newborn lifestyle sessions, mom & children, and nursing sessions.
If you’re looking for some posed family photos mixed in with the candids, I got you covered. My style is 25% posed, 75% documentary, with prompts along the way. I will provide you with gentle guidance to help position your body in a flattering way, but I’ll always encourage you to interact with each other more than trying to look at the camera because we don’t want forced smiles.
From the moment we begin talking, I am ready to hear your story and genuinely care about capturing you and your family with utmost intention and care. At the end of the day, I am here to capture this entire journey of motherhood and family life WITH you.

My daughter and I had a Mother Daughter shoot and it was so fun. We had so much fun bonding, playing and twilring our dresses for photos. We were given great direction, poses and playgul things to do for the shoot. The entire time Melanie was cheerful, really good with my daughter and very professional. Our photos peeked our expectations and we cant wait to do more shoots in the future.

When we decided to do maternity and infant photos with Melanie we had no clue how great they would turn out! Never having done them with our first 2 kids we wanted it to be fun but casual but exciting....the experience was definitely all 3! The pictures turned out equally well, I love all the natural light, she has such a good eye for it! Definitely would recommend Melanie, and so would my kids! Every time they see the pictures they ask if she will come back and color with them.
